Per Governor Inslee instructions ALL museums in Washington state are to remain closed until the end of March. Fortunately, we at McAllister Museum had already decided that was the best course of action for our employees and volunteers. We will re-evaluate the situation toward the end of the month and post any closure changes to our website. Keep in mind Governor Inslee could make the decision for us.
Fuel customers--our self-service aviation fuel tank will continue to operate 24/7 as it always has. Cash card customers--if you need to add money to your account please send a check to: McAllister Museum at the above address. Office staff will be in and out during the closure and will add the funds to your account as soon as possible. If you have any questions please feel free to leave us a message at (509) 457-4933.
Thank you to all of our loyal customers. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this trying time.

Per Governor Inslee museums in Washington state are set to reopen in Phase 3 of the "safe reopening", however, Yakima county is currently stuck in Phase 1 so it could be a while before we get to reopen. Please continue to check our website for any updates or changes. You can also call our office at (509) 457-4933 and we will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Well, Yakima County is making progress--we are now in a modified Phase I. Unfortunately that still doesn't allow the Museum to be open to visitors. We have to advance to Phase III to reopen. Please continue to check our website for any updates or changes.
Just a reminder--our fuel pump operates 24/7 so you can still purchase aviation fuel.
Roberta (the office manager) is still coming into the office (when needed) to keep up with paperwork, etc. so if you have any questions you can call the office at (509) 457-4933 and she will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you AGAIN for your patience and understanding in this matter,.

We are not currently open for visitor viewing, however, our gift shop is open for retail sales, cash fuel sales, adding funds to "cash cards", and membership renewals. Roberta is in the office at least twice a week from 10-2 to facilitate these purchases. At this time she is usually here on Fridays and Saturdays, however, hours and days are subject to change. Please check by phone (509-457-4933) to see if she is in AND that our front office/gift shop is not over 25% capacity.
Per the latest State guidelines, we cannot reopen McAllister Museum to visitors until Yakima County enters Phase 2 of the "safe reopening". We are in the process of making the adjustments necessary to reopen as soon as possible.
We appreciate your helping us abide by Washington State guidelines in regards to "safe reopening". SEE YOU SOON!!

Due to Governor Inslee's new orders ALL museums in Washington are closed again. Even if the orders expire as planned on Dec. 14 that will be too late for McAllister Museum to open again this year (we are usually closed between Christmas and New Year's). Check this website after the first of the year for possible reopen dates. Thank you for your patience and continued support. See you in 2021!

Even though Yakima County has moved to Phase 2 in the safe reopening plan, McAllister Museum's public reopening date has yet to be determined. We will continue to be open for private tours and retail sales. Cost for private tours is $2 per person. If you are interested in a private tour of the Museum please leave a message at 509-457-4933 or send an email to us at [email protected] Please give us all the pertinent information--date, time, number of people, and a contact number or email. Since the office manager is only in a few times a week it may take a few days to get back to you so please allow at least a week between the date of your message and when you want to visit the Museum.
We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these trying and often confusing times. We hope to see you soon.
