Even though Yakima County has moved to Phase 2 in the safe reopening plan, McAllister Museum's public reopening date has yet to be determined. We will continue to be open for private tours and retail sales. Cost for private tours is $2 per person. If you are interested in a private tour of the Museum please leave a message at 509-457-4933 or send an email to us at [email protected] Please give us all the pertinent information--date, time, number of people, and a contact number or email. Since the office manager is only in a few times a week it may take a few days to get back to you so please allow at least a week between the date of your message and when you want to visit the Museum.
We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these trying and often confusing times. We hope to see you soon.
New Hangar Annex Opens
On Saturday, November 11, 2017, the museum formally opened its hangar annex to the public, where it will showcase two small airplanes. And someday museum officials hope to show off the glider flown by the museum’s namesake, aviation pioneer Charlie McAllister.
