What others say
“I was a student at McAllister’s and had Charlie and Gracie as occasional instructors along with several others in the old Aeronca’s in the early 70’s when I lived in Yakima.”
Kurt, Pasco“My parents lived a few blocks from the airport from about 1956 to 1977. My dad learned to fly at Charlie’s school and I took my first real flying lessons in one of Charlie’s and Al’s pink Aeronca 7 ACs. I went to High school with Bob Olsen who lived across the street from where the Museum is now.”
Jim“We owned N9744U years back… It was a great airplane.. Many memories.. Had to sell because of 3rd child.. seeing it makes my eyes tear up.. Thanks to all that made it shine again… ”
Randy“My Mom, Edith Salerno, was a student of Charlie’s back in the 1940’s and earned her private pilot license with Charlie in an Aeronca Chief under the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) program. ”
